Trained private chefs and a full service team, working from one written plan for every event.
Who we are
BookThatChef began on Florida's Scenic Highway 30A, cooking in vacation rentals for families, bachelorette parties and wedding parties who wanted a restaurant-quality dinner without leaving the house. That work grew into a full team of private chefs, servers, bartenders and decorators. Today we bring the same menus and the same careful event planning to cities across the country.
Our team
Trained private chefs
A lead chef runs every event, with sous chefs for larger groups. Our chefs are trained on our menus and our way of running a kitchen in someone else's home: how to shop, how to time courses in a rental kitchen, and how to keep every allergy off the wrong plate.
Servers
Servers pour, plate, clear and keep the evening running smoothly, so the host can sit down and enjoy it. Larger dinners have about one server for every 14 guests.
Bartenders
We do not sell alcohol, but our bartenders mix and serve what you provide, from a signature cocktail for the night to a full drink service at a rehearsal dinner.
Decorators
Decorators set the table and the room before guests arrive: linens, florals, place cards, themes and balloons for the celebrations that call for them.
Event coordinators
Coordinators plan your menu with you, collect every allergy and send your written event order before the day, so the whole team works from the same plan.
How we work
Everything in writing. Before every event you get a final event order: the menu course by course, guest count, service style, timing, the address and access details, and every allergy.
Menus that change with the seasons. Our Signature menus run in seasons, alongside Moroccan, Indian and Southern menus and holiday dinners, and every one can be changed dish by dish.
We leave the kitchen cleaner than we found it. Every event ends with a full reset: dishes done, counters wiped, leftovers packed.

BookThatChef was founded by Chef Jojo, the chef behind Chef Jojo 30A.
