BookThatChef is a DBA of Chef Jojo LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use bookthatchef.com or book an event with us, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- What you tell us: your name, email, phone number, event date, city, guest count, the occasion, menu choices, allergies and dietary needs, and the address and access details for your event.
- Booking and payment details: your signed booking agreement, invoices and payment status. Card and financing details are entered directly with our payment providers (Square, and Stripe for Affirm or Klarna); we never see or store your full card number.
- How you found us: the page you arrived on, and campaign or ad-click details in the link (such as a Google Ads click ID or UTM tags), stored in your browser for up to 90 days so we know which ads and pages bring in inquiries.
- Site analytics: if enabled, Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies to measure visits and ad performance.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, plan your menu, staff your event and send your event order.
- To keep every allergy and dietary need in front of the chefs cooking for you.
- To send quotes, contracts, invoices and reminders about your booking.
- To understand which pages and ads bring us clients, and to improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run your booking: HoneyBook (client management), Zapier (connects our forms to HoneyBook), Google Workspace (email, scheduling and our booking records), Square and Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting), and Google Analytics and Google Ads (site and ad measurement). The chefs and service team assigned to your event see the details they need to do their job. If you buy travel insurance through a link we send, that provider's own privacy policy applies.
Cookies and ad measurement
Google Analytics and Google Ads may set cookies to measure visits and conversions, such as a form sent or a call started from the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them to deliver your event and to meet tax and accounting requirements. Inquiries that do not become bookings are kept so we can respond if you contact us again. You may ask us at any time to delete yours.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing messages. Call or text (260) 233-5908, email support@bookthatchef.com, or reply to any email from us.
Children
The site and our booking process are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
