Why Savannah groups book a chef
Savannah's historic district is full of grand old townhouses and carriage houses, rented by bachelorette groups, families and wedding parties, and Tybee Island adds beach houses twenty minutes away. The city is walkable, and its open-container rules make for relaxed evenings, but restaurant tables for a dozen fill quickly. A private chef in Savannah gives you the long Southern dinner without the wait.
What we'd cook in Savannah
Savannah eats like the Lowcountry: shrimp, grits, greens and something with bourbon. Favorites from our menus include shrimp over stone-ground gouda grits, crab-stuffed flounder, the Southern menu, braised collard greens, mac & cheese, and bourbon pecan bread pudding or banana pudding to finish. For brunch, we serve biscuits, grits and a mimosa setup.
A weekend plan
- Friday: a family-style Lowcountry dinner at the townhouse.
- Saturday: brunch before a trolley tour or a day on Tybee, followed by a plated dinner.
- Sunday: a late brunch before the drive home.
