Palm Springs poolside brunch for a bachelorette: the menu and timeline
How a private chef sets up a poolside brunch for a Palm Springs bachelorette at your rental: what to serve, what to keep cold, and an hour-by-hour timeline.

In Palm Springs, brunch is often the best meal of a bachelorette weekend: the light is soft, the pool is steps away, and no one has anywhere to be until the afternoon. Here is how we set up a poolside brunch at a Palm Springs rental.
The menu
- Something fresh: dragon fruit and yogurt parfaits, a generous fruit board, and burrata with strawberries
- Something savory: smoked salmon toast with whipped cheese, and a frittata or shakshuka
- Something sweet: cinnamon rolls piled with berries
- Something to sip: a spritz and mimosa station with juices and fruit (you bring the bubbles)
Keep it cold and shaded
Even in spring, the desert sun warms food quickly. Set the spread in the shade, serve dairy and seafood on ice or straight from the refrigerator, and refresh platters in small batches rather than putting everything out at once.
The timeline
- 90 minutes before: The chef arrives and starts the hot dishes.
- 30 minutes before: The table and drinks station are set up by the pool.
- Brunch time: Cold dishes come out first, followed by the hot dishes as the group sits down.
- An hour in: A second round of the favorites comes out.
- Afterward: Everything is cleared, the dishes are done, and leftovers are packed for the afternoon.
Pair it with dinner
Most groups book brunch along with one dinner on the patio after sunset, so the two menus can be planned together and nothing repeats. Our bachelorette private chef page covers both.
Brunch starts at $68 a person plus food. See our Palm Springs page or brunch & lunch.
